Sekinchan

Sekinchan is a small town on the west coast of Malaysia. It’s home to the Paddy Processing Factory, with a museum about the local rice industry. The elaborate Nan Tian Temple sits in one of the town’s many rice fields. Near Redang Beach, the Wishing Tree is draped with red ribbons. Just south, the fishing village of Bagan has many seafood restaurants. The area is also a shelter for migratory birds, such as herons. 5786B8D1-6935-4030-9E8C-B8B52E23D17E

Sekinchan Beach

This beach is popular with tourists and locals, and can be busy on weekends with a hive of activities. A great place to relax as you look out into the horizon with the sea breeze enveloping you. The best place for sunset – fantastic hues of colours as the sun sets, with the reflection of the last rays over the sea. And then the flashing beacon lights come on as the night descends. The sun typically sets around 7.00pm. It is best to have an early dinner at 6pm and head down to the beach thereafter.

Sekinchan Wishing Tree

And wish makers will have to throw the ribbon that’s tied to the coin up onto the tree and let it dangle there for the wish to come true. It is said that the higher the ribbon with the coin dangled on the tree, the higher chance the wishes made will come true.
